I had fun making these Pokeballs. The guys love 'em and have been carrying them around all day.
I also started work on Austen's K-State graph ghan.
This is a new skill for me so wish me luck. I've gotten a slow start because of my eyes! As some of you know I'm 44. I have always had perfect vision. But about 10 days ago(when I first started planning this ghan) My eyes started this horribly distracting twitching and aching. So I'd stop crocheting and go to the computer where it would continue. The only time they wouldn't bother me was when I was watching TV or teaching. Hmmmmmm....any ideas? I think the old age thing and my eyes have finally met up. So I took the graph of my son's ghan to the Kinko's near us and had them enlarge it 100x. I let you know if that works!

I'd go to the eye doctor. I have pretty terrible vision and use glasses for the computer and work.
One tip that helped me big time with a graphgan is to cross out each line after you've finished that line. It makes it alot easier to follow where you are.
Thanks for the tip! I have been highlighteing every line I finish, maybe I'll try x-ing it out. Do you switch the ends of the yarn to the opposite side so that when you work back you can either pick them up or drop them?
Hi Mz Caroline:
Beautiful day here in New England, I am crocheting an afghan for my sons gf, it is light purple with her initial in the middle, my own pattern and lately I find myself having problems with my vision also...I am 43 1/2 and if I remember my bff who is two years older than I started having problems with her vision around 43.
I do the the same thing as christina I print my pattern out and I cross off as I go.
My son is going to his gf prom tonight, I get so nervous but he is responsible and they plan to come home right after the prom. My son is 20 1/2 and I heard him on the phone say to his friend, I don't drink and I don't want to be part of that, I am the oldest out of you guys and I will most likely be the one who would be in more trouble. I also heard him say no I am not giving any of you guys a ride because Lauren and I are going to the prom and then going straight home. I am so proud of him.
Take care and I will post some prom pics when I have them.
I like the pokeballs!.. Dear Son used to LOVE the Pokemon series! I don't know if he'd admit to liking them now, but still I wouldn't mind trying to make these! Did you use poly-fiberfill?.. or beans, for more of a beanbag/hackey-sack feel about it?
Hey! Sorry my comment is late being posted. You might remember that I had to dog-sit from last Friday through Tuesday night. Whew, glad that's over and I'm now back in my own bed at night. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that my eyes started pooping out on me about 7-8 years ago. (I'm now 50!) I was having the same problems you mentioned, and my eye doc said glasses would fix everything. I'm now on my 6th pair of glasses, not because I wear them all the time and wear them out, but because I keep losing them. :) I hate wearing glasses, but it does help my eyes tremendously when I mind the doctor. I, too, enlarge my patterns, even with glasses. It makes them much easier to follow.
