Off we go into the wild blue yonder......

Say "Hello" to lil' N758HB

I debated and debated what I should get my dad for Father''s Day. He dosen't "need" anything. He wants for very little. He is a pilot and flying is his true passion, so I decided to make him a little something that can stay with him at home and he can do a little "armchair flying".

I designed it myself by just looking at a picture of his plaine. It's true to his colors and call number.

Pattern writing......

I have finally finished up enough of my chores that I can concentrate on pattern writing. I have been wanting to write my "Ugly" doll patterns up since I first started making them in the spring. I have decided to change the spelling of their name to Uglee, then no one can tell me I'm too close to the felt dolls that go by the name Ugly Dolls. I'm also thinking that I am going to market them by shape. Remember how I had all sorts of "cute" ugly names for them? Maybe if I design them a little more broadly, fiber friends will want just the basic shapes, then they can individualize their Uglee doll like I did. So far, I have a Rectangle Uglee, Triangle Uglee, Square(Baby) Uglee, Round Uglee, and Pyramid Uglee.

Super gangas!(Big bargains)

Here's how I spent my Thursday: running a garage sale! as most of you know having 4 kids also means 4x the stuff. Clothes and little toys just seem to multiply endlessly. Take a gander see if there's anything you would like.....;)

Odds and ends from my stash. A real-life yarny goddess ccame in and cleaned it all out!! Always fun to meet a fellow fiber friend.

VCR anyone? Anyone?

Assorted goodies........

I made about 80+ dollars today and will be open for business tomorrow.

A little bit of this...a little bit of that.....

Let's take care of some loose ends.....here is the completed Music Note graph-ghan: COMPLETED! I presented it to our retiring music teacher on Tuesday(our last day of school) and it was a big hit. She was very touched and told me that it really"spoke" to her. That was a huge compliment. She is going to stay home and watch her grandkids next year and I told her it's for spreading out on the floor and playing on.
(This is the only picture I got of the ghan before I rushed it off to school and if yo're a musician you'll notice the treble clef and notes are facing backwards, oop! Took the picure of the wrong side!)
I am working on some little projects, like these squares that may or may not turn into an afghan. I just like this pattern. Fun, quick, and instant crochet satisfaction in a couple of hours.

I have also been reading this blog:http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/ and love her use of color and her eye for photography as well. So I started her Attic24 bag. Here is the bottom. I don't know if I have her gift for combining colors, but it is liberating to just grab and go.

I missed my blogging buddies and am enjoying being a full-time mom again. Baseball and tennis are in full swing(notice the pun-har,har!) here and I'm just going to enjpy being a spectator and keeping the waterbottles full.
I am still running and walking(I ran my first 5k earlier this year.) and I must say am loving the things it's doing for me now that swimsuit weather is here! Now if I could just find some boobies some where......;)
Happy, happy Friday!
