I have a few things I've been dabbling in....
First I finished the Floaty Fall scarf from fall's 2009 Crochet Today. I didn't add the last row because I was working with stash yarn and ran out, but I still love it.
I have also been working on this Sea Shells scarf, the pattern is so easy to memorize and then its a mindless crochet in front of the TV and the results....spectacular. I have one row left to do around the entire scarf and then I am going to block it so the shapes are crisp.
Our music teacher is retiring from teaching this spring and I was at a complete loss at what to get her. She has been teaching for over 30 years, has been a great teacher, and a dear friend even though I've only worked with her for the last 3 years. I ordered this Music Note Afghan pattern form Chella's Crochet. It's working up fast and I think its the best gift for her. Gold watches or glass paperweights just are not going to cut it.

The Floaty scarf is gorgeous! I need to make myself one like that to keep at work for when it gets chilly. The Sea Shells scarf is very elegant looking, though it looks like your Pooh Bear doesn't even want to look at it, haha!
I can't wait to see your music afghan all finished. That really is a great, thoughtful gift for the music teacher.
Pi starts Spring Break on March 29th. I normally take vacation to be with her, but can't this year. We're scheduled to start a new trial on the 31st, so no spring vacation for me. That's ok though...I'll get 2 weeks in the summer instead!
Those are all some great projects! Good luck on the blanket it will look great!
Oh those are gorgeous! I really like the floaty scarf, and have long wanted to make a sea shells scarf.
The musical afghan is THE thing to give! I really really like it!
Happy Spring Break! Love your projects, Caroline. That music afghan is going to be fabulous, and I agree that you could not hope to purchase a nicer gift. Can't wait to see it completed. (Listen to me, with all my unfinished projects!)
I love all of your projects! Enjoy your break. I'm still longing for mine. :-D
