Hello blog buddies. The sky is gray, the ground wet, the temps are cold, and the air is dank....but I'm officially on Spring Break!!!!
WoooHoooo! My
DS came home from the university for the week, I have all my "chicks" in the same
henhouse again.
I have a few things I've been dabbling in....
First I finished the
Floaty Fall scarf from fall's 2009 Crochet Today. I didn't add the last row because I was working with stash yarn and ran out, but I still love it.
I have also been working on this
Sea Shells scarf, the pattern is so easy to memorize and then its a mindless crochet in front of the TV and the results....spectacular. I have one row left to do around the entire scarf and then I am going to block it so the shapes are crisp.
Our music teacher is retiring from teaching this spring and I was at a complete loss at what to get her. She has been teaching for over 30 years, has been a great teacher, and a dear friend even though I've only worked with her for the last 3 years. I ordered this Music Note Afghan pattern form
Chella's Crochet. It's working up fast and I think its the best gift for her. Gold watches or glass paperweights just are not going to cut it.
Poor bear! She doesn't like the Sea Shells scarf as much as I do........
