Domingo

Can't believe its Sunday all ready, the weekends go by so fast. It's absolutely beautiful here in the Midwest right now. Crisp air in the mornings with cerulean blue skies all day long.

I've got a couple of things to share.

With Mother's Day fast approaching, I whipped up a couple of these potholders from
Designs-By-Emily

I also completed another "ugly" doll.

I've been working on my Musical note graph-ghan, but not as diligently as I should be. I'm about one third of the way done. I need to get cracking on it.
I'm driving to Topeka today to meet up with my odest Ds to give him all his Achitecture projects form the first quarter. He has an interview with the department heads to see which area of Achitecture he will be specializing in. Good thoughts for him please!!!

Chiles and Ice Cream ....oh my!

As some of you may know the school year is going to be starting up here again in 1 week(Yes, you heard me correctly!!!)I had to pack up my room at the end of last year and move into a new room. I'm not complaining too loudly because its a bigger and better room. 2 whole windows!!! I was in a cave last year!!! This is some fabric I bought to make valances for my new cherished windows:

I have a chile pepper pinata in my room so I think this theme will fit in nicely. I'll try to remember to take a pic of my room with the new curtains!

Over at the "Ville" I participated ina dischcloth swap. What I really liked about this swap were the rules: Keep It Simple!(KISS) You only allowed to send one dishcloth, that's all, that's it. Here is the cloth I received: It's sitting on my stove-top.

Isn't it cute? My younger guys loved helping me open it. Mystified that a total stranger would not only make somethng, but send it to me. Thanks again leaette!

Finally...instant crochet gratification!

After working(endlessly) on the KSU afghan, I got to pick up a little project yesterday and finished it yesterday. Ahhhhh! Love the feeling of completing something so quickly with such good results. You'll be seeing a few "instant" projects in the next week or so...no afghans for awhile. LOL

Did you catch a peek of my youngest in the background?

Alert! Ramblings and a turkey potholder!

Turkey potholder....Sugar and cream yarn:pattern out of Country Woman magazine.

Today the entire family was home. I actually slept in until after 8:00am. Taylor(my oldest daughter)kept the lil boys quiet and I swear I didn't know anyone was even up. What a surprise to come downstairs and realize everyone was awake but me. AHHHHH! It felt good.

We decided to go to a matinee today. We saw "Bolt" in 3-D. It was a really cute movie. The guys loved it. It was definitely a feel good movie. Everyone left with a smile on thier faces.

we're going to my SIL for turkey day dinner and I'm much like my blog-buddy Crafty Christinawho has bought a turkey and will prepare it the next day because we want leftovers!!! My SIL dosen't want me to bring anything so I guess I get to go and enjoy. Side note: I am taking a seven-layer dip, just to show I'm not totally without manners. My momma said you never show up empty-handed to a gathering. Maybe I'll post a pic of it when its done later tonite. It's gonna be good.

Happy Thanksgiving one and all. I am so thankful for my family, friends, my home, and my life.
