This week in fiber.....

DH and I got date night last night(Many thanks to MIL) and we went and saw "Whiteout". It was ok, but it was just nice to be out with my BFFF and hubby. This morning Trenton and I were up early to head to ball practice. I actually enjoying going out and sitting at his practicies. The temp. and sun are just perfect that early. I also sneaked some crochet time in. This is what I'm currently working on. It's the triangular scarf pattern form the latest issue of Crochet Today. I'm am using Bernat's satin sport even tho the pattern called for a cotton thread. I like the sheen I'm getting off this yarn aon this project.
I finished my Drop Stitch scarf from Ravalry. Since this was my LYS yarn and 100% wool, I did have to block it. I am very pleased with how this came out and plan on wearing it as soon as the weather turns a tad bit cooler.

I ate my tomatoe(the thing I've ever grown and eaten!!!) It was delicious. I've got 5 more on the vine, let's hope they turn before the first frost. LOL

Hello Mz. Caroline:

Your becoming my personal movie critic...I swear last night I said to Tom I would like to see Whiteout this weekend and now maybe I will wait for the DVD. We had plans to go to San Antonio but it has been raining cats and dogs here in Texas....lots of flooding due to so much rain and earth being so dry it can absorb it quickly enough which is a shame because Texas has been very dry this year with very little rain til now.

I the pink scarf that is a great pink.
Can't wait to see your triangular scarf when it is finished.

Glad your enjoying your tomatoe! We did't get to enjoy ours this year I left my home in Boston and my garden, we had several green tomatoes on the vine but didn't get to see them turn red, hope my son enjoys them.

I bought bright yellow tomatoes this weeks. I love color.

I this the fact that I love color is why I am attracted to yarn and produce.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hi Caroline! Your scarves look BEAUTIFUL! Glad to hear your son is settling in well at school!.. And Congrats on growing some of your own tomatoes this year! I didn't have them this year, but admit I didn't pay the attention I should have with them. Even the best of farmers around here had trouble with theirs this year though! So if you get even half a dozen of your own, you've done well!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina

Love both of the scarves, Caroline! I especially like the stitches in the pink one. Would it have to be blocked if it was not done in wool? Great job. Slow going on the OU 'ghan. :( Hope I get it finished before football season is over. :)
