Summertime + me = sooooo many WIPs!

It is hot here in Kansas! The themometer has been only in the mid-90's but the heat index has been topping out at over 105 degrees F. Since its so hot, what else do I do but peruse blogs, Ravelry, and Crochetville, and become inspired by so many other talented crafters out there. here are some of the things I'm working on.....

The Flower Box Afghan: This will be a X-mas gift for my niece. her room in jungle inspired and I couldn't resist these colors together. I'm trying to get a head start on my Christmas gifts, so I won't be out-og-my-mind when that time of year rolls around again!

Next is my 2nd Floaty Fall Scarf. My first is here. This one I did in thread and I'm so pleased with how its turning out. I only have about 3/4 of the final row left to do. Yippee!

I checked out a book called 200 Crochet Blocks and have been reading and just dreaming away about all the beautiful squares in there. (Only a true yarny knows my joy!) I sit by the pool and flip thru the pages at my leisure and just look, look, and look. I tried one, you can tell I've been inpsired by flowers lately. This on is #54.

I love the dimentionality of this block, much like the Flower Box afghan blocks.

Finally, I saw this bag over at Sew-ritsy-titsy's blog. Everything about it screamed at me to make one. Have you ever had a project step out at you like that? I literally ached until I could check the book out from the library, scavenge my stash for all my cotton, and start....pant, pant.

Here all my darling, darling hexagons:

Family news: My DD and I did make our first college visit this past week with my sis and her DD. We enjoyed our day tremendously and I think the girls are starting to get excited about college. Thank goodness we still have one more year left of High School.

All of your projects are looking wonderful! So far my summer's been a bit choppy so not much on the crafting side, but lots on the dreaming side!

I don't know how you make afghans in the heat! Youre more dedicated than I am.
