The latest "Pocket Purse"

A few of you might remeber this post about my "Button Bag", well, the positive responses were such that...I created a second. This one I'm calling "Pocket Purse" because alas, we all know there are no buttons on it. ;-) Now this one is it, because there are only two back pockets to every good pair of reliable Levi's.

Sooooo, if you're interested it's already listed over in my Etsy shop.

My latest Hexagon bag......

You all know that I made a hexagon bag last year.(See here) I was terribly taken in by the bright colors and just the interest the hexagon shape can create with the eye. Well, a co-worker was so taken with it too, she finally coerced me(monetarily, that is!) to make her one. So here it is. I do love the sunny lining I put in this one.

Progressing on projects.......

My hooks have been busy, but I don't have anything completed to share, but I thought..."What the heck?" Why not show things the way I see them nost of the time: In Progress!

Here is the WIP I gave you a little peek of last week and all of you guessed correctly when you guessed it to be a bag. A new, springtime bag for me to be exact. Notice I've added some interesting detailing, you'll have to wait just a tad bit longer, I've got to get to the store and buy some fabric for lining before I reveal it in its entirety.
Here are the other items I've been working on, you might recognize them too. More Uglees! These guys give me a quick fix to quench my creative outlets, because I get to play with all different looks from their eyes, mouths, and...... hair? This one very well may have something on top that all my other Uglees lacked!
It is a very gray and dreary day here in the heartland....here's to staying cozy and crocheting. Happy Saturday friends!

Something fun from Yorkshire.....

My mom sent me a little something extra for Christmas, it was ca$h, so I perused several stores and boutiques in this area but never did find that lil' something-something that I really wanted until I was browsing blogs on my dashboard and came across this lil' ditty from Marmaladerose. I jotted her an eager email and "viola" thanks to paypal and the Royal post...it's new home is in Kansas with me.

I also started a second destroyed cowl. This pattern is quick and satisfying. I think this green color will be versitile and look fresh for the gray days of winter ahead.

I'll leave you with this pic of our chow surveying her snowy paradise that is our backyard. In her mind's eye she's thinking...."Ahhhh..perfect, now go find a sunbeam place to flop down in the snow and relax!"

While hubby is away.......conquering the WIPs!

I've had this purse in the WIPs pile for just about a year. All I needed to do was hand finsh the lining. It only took me 30 minutes. I can't believe I let this cuite sit that long. I'm stuffing this with wallet and cell tonite and carrying it to work in the morning.

Close up of lining with pocket!

Close up of stitches and yarn. I think I used one strand of Lionbrand suede and one strand of Lionbrand Moonlight mohair. Handles curtesy of Hobby Lobby with coupon, of course!

Here is another one I had in pile too, just had to add the handles. This one is knitted. Notice the ruffles down the sides. The body is in one type of yarn from HL and the ruffles are that yarn with fun fur.
My camera dosen't do it justice, its cute.

Close up of syitches and ruffle.

Christina's purse

Here is the purse I made for my Swap Swap Gals buddy Christina. I had a blast making it and will probably have to make one just like it for myself. I love the pink camo lining. I added 3 pockets to the inside because I love to stash receipts and lip gloss away.
